By the way, sorry guys it’s been a while since I’ve posted. Hopefully this will make up for it! lol.
So today I’m writing about what I call ‘The Goal Binder.’ Yes it’s exactly what it implies, a binder with all your goals. I started using this a while back and I’ve found that it works well for me, so I decided to post it and hope that it works well for you.
This is just something I randomly came up with. I realized I didn’t have much clarity with my goals and that if I wanted to achieve them I need organization! And this is the way I decided to do it. All I did was go to Target and buy a 2.5 inch binder, some binder dividers, paper and gel pens. (Gotta love the gel = p ) I go straight home and wrote down every single thing I wanted to achieve, and I mean EVERYTHING. Once I did that I went through each goal and wrote down what I felt I needed to do in order to achieve it, then I wrote down what kind of person I would be if I achieved it. After, I evaluated how long each goal would take and organized them into three separate groups; immediate goals, intermediate goals and long term goals.
As you might have guessed, I organized my binder in the same way; with all three of my goals and put all my goal information in their respective places. I did all of this because I needed to really understand what the hell I wanted and what I needed to do to get there. I wrote down what I didn’t to do to achieve those goals so I could have some sort of base and action plan to get there. I wrote down what kind of person I would be once I accomplished them so I could really understand how my life would be changed and so I could resonate with my goal.
After I organized all of my ideas and wants I began to figure out where I was at that moment in terms of my goals. How close was I to getting to where I wanted to be? What do I need to do in order to get the ball rolling? Is what I’m doing helping me progress? Every day I answer these questions about all of my goals and constantly update my progress and what I’m doing. This helps me plan for the next day and figure out what I need to do. It has really been a life saver to be able to see exactly where I am and exactly what I need to do in order to progress.
This has really helped me a LOT. I gave some really general explanations and whatnot but just give it a try and see what happens. It doesn’t hurt to at least try. If anything, let’s say you try and fail, well now you know you have to move in a different direction. What if you’re successful? Well then you’ll definitely become the person you want to be. There’s not much to it really. Juststay commited and go through it every day.
Well good luck!!!
